Elecnor Deimos Imaging (Spain) becomes Silver Sponsor of the III International GIS-Forum “Integrated Geospatial Solutions – The Future of Information Technologies” which will be held on April 15-17, 2015 at its usual venue, the high-class Atlas Park-Hotel in Moscow Region.
Elecnor Deimos Imaging DEIMOS Imaging is the result of the collaboration between the Spanish aerospace engineering company DEIMOS Space and the Remote Sensing Laboratory of the University of Valladolid (LATUV). The new company's goal is the design, implementation, operation, and commercial exploitation of a complete Earth Observation space system in Valladolid (Spain). Currently the company is the operator of DEIMOS-1 satellite integrated into the international constellation DMC and DEIMOS-2. The headquarters is located in Valladolid (Spain).
At the upcoming GIS-Forum, Julio Lopez, Senior Sales Manager for Elecnor Deimos Imaging will tell about an ultra-high resolution satellite DEIMOS-2.
Deimos-2 is a follow-on imaging mission of Deimos-1. It was launched in 2014. The satellite enables to acquire high-resolution images of Earth for a variety of purposes. The imaging payload covers a panchromatic channel and four multispectral channels. Multispectral resolution is 4 meters and the sharpened-PAN mode achieves ground resolutions of up to 0.75 meters.
