Map of surface displacements of Tengiz oil and gas deposit

Institute of ionosphere" (Republic of Kazakhstan)

Were built the maps of surface displacements over the oil and gas Tengiz field for the period from 2004 to 2010, established the interdependence between the ongoing subsidence of the ground surface, geodynamic active faults, structural features of the deposit and extraction of hydrocarbons from the deposit. The comparison of results of interferometric processing of two independent series of radar images acquired by different satellites: ALOS (Japan) and ENVISAT (Europe), was performed. The results correlate well with each other, it talks about the objective nature of the technology radar interferometry in General.
